 !!! Promises  Promises !!!

During the month of February 2019, I was having my usual morning walk. It was probably 6 am. A gentle man was taking out his car from his house to the road. As soon as he saw me came to me and wished. I reciprocated. Suddenly I couldn't recognize him. He introduced himself. A doctor by profession and a parent too. 

After that incident many a time I could wish him and proceed with my walk. After two months I noticed that the house is being demolished. Gradually area was getting cleaned. One day early morning preparation for Bhoomi Pooja was going on. The Doctor and family members were there. I went to see them. He introduced his mother , probably of my age. I greeted her. I could understand from the Doctor that one complex with residence and clinic will be built there. I expressed my happiness and proceeded. 
Later I found that construction was going on in full sing.
 
In the month of November 2020 he came to meet me with another friend.I inquired about the progress of the work going on. His plan was to inaugurate it in the last week of December. He was very particular that I should light the lamp on that special occasion. He wanted to know the time and place I will be available so that he can personally come and invite me.I had a doubt about the truth of the statement. 

I asked him about the purpose of  his visit . I too agreed to look in to it and I ultimately I did it. Every day during my morning walk noticed that the complex is getting  completed.
On Vaikuntha Ekadashi day complex was illuminated and shamiana was put , VIP chairs were placed. Function was arranged.

There was a message from my inner soul.Good that the owner of the complex did not trouble you by inviting to light the lamp. You saved the amount you thought of presenting silver items for Pooja , shawls, bouquet etc.

I remember his promise and wished all the best.

Few years ago (don't remember the year) one very enthusiastic and dynamic Doctor met me in my office. She was proudly  explaining  about the new Radiology department coming up in her hospital. The amount spent on equipment etc was the topic for discussion. She also told that as soon as the date for inauguration is fixed, invitation will be sent and I should be present.  Great.

After six months found that the department is fully functioning.

Promises are Promises 


In the year 2015 , it was season for visiting Shabarimala. One gentleman in the dress of an Ayyappan came to office. After a preliminary  chat , Ayyappan informed that next week he is visiting Shabarimala and will get me PRASADAM .Even after many days and months one couldn't get a chance to have DARSHAN of that Ayyappan. 

Promises are Promises.

All the above mentioned people are greatly educated and cultured .

  Competitive Examinations and pain of a Teacher. "What is the use of my efforts Sir ?" A senior faculty member has above question . She is a very sincere and dedicated teacher handling Higher Secondary Section. All through her aim is to see that students score very high. Like other faculty members she is on duty  24 x 7 . Any time students can approach her , clear their doubts. Even on Holidays she is available for students.  But in the heart of heart, she is worried. Students who are appearing for Board Examinations are more interested in their NEET and JEE examinations rather that Board Examinations. Last priority is for Board Examinations. The performance of Board Examination is not going to effect the results of Competitive Examinations. Selection to professional collages depends on the performance in competitive examinations. Scoring in Board examination is not going to affect their admissions in professional collages. Just a pass in Board examination is sufficient....
