He started his career as a civilian school master teaching the Indian Jawans in the year 1963. During the Indo - China war in 1962 there was a massive recruitment of Jawans in Indian Army. There was requirement of teachers to teach these Jawans. He served the Army as a Teacher for 3 years. This first big opportunity was a great launch of his teaching career.

In the year 1966 when a new Kendriya Vidyalaya started at Malleswaram, Bangalore he joined as a founder teacher. He served Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for 40 years in different capacities such as Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher, Post Graduate Teacher and Principal. He retired on 31st December 2005. KVS gave him an extension of two years for his meritorious services as recipient of The National Award.  On his superannuation he knew the best had yet to come.

Dr. Gopalakrishna Chairman of National Public Schools introduced him to Padmabhushan Dr Sri Sri Sri Balagangadhanatha Swamiji who wanted to start a school at Hulimavu,Bennerghaatta Road Bangalore. He accepted the offer of Pujya Swamiji  and  joined on 1st of Jan 2006. The school was under construction. He supervised the construction and started the admission process from Pre Primary to Class VII.  The Management was fast enough to give shape to the building and had it inaugurated on 22nd June 2006 with hardly 150 students. Today they have a student’s strength of more than  4300 with 215 teachers on the rolls. Pujya Managing Director Sri Sri Prakashnatha Swamiji promoted him as Academic Director of BGS Group of Institutions.

9)      An  NGO of UK has awarded him the Best International Head Teacher in a function held at South Africa 2016 ( Education that pays for itself  conference at Durban).
10)   “Rex Karma Veera “award by iCONGO New Delhi.      
11)   “Re:think india” has selected him as Progressive Principals of 2017   
12)   PFIA Excellence Award ( People First Leadership Academy)                                                                    Received "BGS SEVA RATNA AWARD 2020" from Jagath Guru Sri Sri Sri Dr Nirmalanadanatha Maha Swamiji in the presence of Sri Sri Dr Prakashnatha Swamiji, Former CM of Karnataka Sri H D Kumaraswamy and the Deputy CM Dr Aswathanarayana on 18th of January 2021.

Visited many countries such as Srilanka, Singapore, Korea, USA etc. Was a member of textbook committee / review committee of NCERT.  Organized many workshops for teachers and Principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas.  He is associated with CBSE in many capacities.

Today his students are holding responsible positions all over the world. Many are in All India Services such as IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, etc. Some are working for NASA, UN etc. Ms Suneetha Krishnan , a student of his was awarded Padmashree for her social services in the year 2016.
He is  rich with experience of 53 years in the field of Education. “  Teacher by choice not by chance” and believes in “No child should be left behind

  Competitive Examinations and pain of a Teacher. "What is the use of my efforts Sir ?" A senior faculty member has above question . She is a very sincere and dedicated teacher handling Higher Secondary Section. All through her aim is to see that students score very high. Like other faculty members she is on duty  24 x 7 . Any time students can approach her , clear their doubts. Even on Holidays she is available for students.  But in the heart of heart, she is worried. Students who are appearing for Board Examinations are more interested in their NEET and JEE examinations rather that Board Examinations. Last priority is for Board Examinations. The performance of Board Examination is not going to effect the results of Competitive Examinations. Selection to professional collages depends on the performance in competitive examinations. Scoring in Board examination is not going to affect their admissions in professional collages. Just a pass in Board examination is sufficient....
